Call for Papers: How Can We Navigate Our Rapidly Changing World?

Fulbright Chronicles, Volume 4, Number 3 (September 2026)

Guest-edited by Aïcha Lakhssass, Rumu Sarkar, Zheng-sheng Zhang

The upcoming themed issue of Fulbright Chronicles, Volume 5, Number 1 (February 2027), is dedicated to exploring how best we can respond to our rapidly changing world. These global changes have implications for the Fulbright Program and its community as they impact technology, travel, immigration, global health, geopolitics, economics, education, culture, and media, among other issues. We encourage Fulbright alumni with STEM, engineering, medicine, mathematics, and other specialized fields of science and technology to contribute an article. We especially invite submissions that place a special emphasis on the impact on the Fulbright program itself, its role in education and educational outreach, and how it may strengthen its relevancy and viability.

Why Now?

Following the end of World War II in 1945, a new world order was put in place that shaped our world for the past 80 years. That order is collapsing.  Fulbright alumni are uniquely positioned to contribute to this critical discourse about how we best navigate these rapid changes.

Submissions may explore any topic related to how we might navigate our changing world drawing on the author’s Fulbright experience and background, with a particular focus on the impact on the Fulbright Program and its sustainability.
